Veritas in UAE

In spring of 2025, our scholars visited Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. In the week Veritas spent in the UAE, our students visited the Burj Khalifa, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Global Village, the Abrahamic Family House, the Dubai Frame, the Crossroad of Civilizations Museum, the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization, and the Presidential Palace Qasr Al Watan. As we studied economic development, theories of government, and Middle Eastern politics, we had the privilege of meeting with local leaders, such as businesswoman and philanthropist Laila El Atfani and former politician Ahmed Obaid Al Mansoori.Â

Veritas in Italy

In winter of 2024, Veritas transported our scholars back in time to the Italian Renaissance as we journeyed to Rome and Florence. Visiting sites such as the Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazzale Michelangelo, Uffizi Galleries, and Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, we immersed ourselves in the art, architecture, and literature of 15th century Italy. On the journey, our scholars were challenged to consider modern renaissance movements and societal rebirth as we know it today as a result of the Italian Renaissance.
