Veritas scholars have once again claimed the championship title at the Harvard Debate Council’s International Summer Workshop tournament, earning the school’s eighth championship in the past nine years—an extraordinary accomplishment that places the Atlanta-based nonprofit among the most successful debate programs to compete at the prestigious summer competition. In the World Schools Division, Xolani earned the championship title with an impressive 5-1 record, competing against an elite international field of student debaters.
The victories continue a remarkable tradition of excellence. Of the nine Veritas cohorts that have traveled to the Harvard Debate Council Summer Workshops over the past nine years, eight have returned to Atlanta as international champions—a level of sustained success rarely seen in any academic competition.
