Students from all schools, ethnicities, and backgrounds in grades 5-7 (Veritas Preparatory Program) and grades 8-12 (Veritas Debate Institute) in the Metro Atlanta and Metro Washington, D.C., areas are welcome to apply.

Atlanta: Early Action applications are open October 1st – October 31st, and General Admission applications are open February 1st – March 1st.
Washington, D.C.: Early Action applications are open November 1st – December 1st, and General Admission applications are open March 1st – April 1st.
Students undergo a series of rigorous admission interviews over a span of several months. The interviews are non-traditional, and they test students’ academic, professional, and social skills.
Official gifted testing and/or designation from a school is not a requirement for candidacy. All students are welcome to apply if their parents are confident in their ability to handle an accelerated learning curriculum that is designed for gifted students.
We do not have a traditional criterion for gifted and talented.
We consider students gifted and talented if they can successfully navigate the rigors of Veritas, an opportunity all students are given beginning with the application process.

Yes, Veritas has a sliding scale fee-for-service model based on household income.
Full tuition for Veritas Debate Institute is $14,800 for one year.
Full tuition for Veritas Preparatory Program is $8,500 per year.

Veritas Debate Institute is a one-year program, which students can enter at any point between grades 8 and 12.
Veritas Preparatory Program is a multi-year program for up to three years (if accepted as a 5th-grader). Admitted students do not need to reapply each year.
Veritas Prep does not require a multi-year commitment. However, students must complete consecutive years to guarantee admission into the Veritas Debate Institute.
Students are not required to give up sports that do not conflict with Saturdays.
Students with sports commitments on Saturdays are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Yes, as a partner of the Harvard Debate Council, Veritas scholars receive acceptance and full scholarships to participate in the Harvard Debate Council Summer Workshops.
However, attendance is not guaranteed. Students must successfully complete the Veritas coursework with proficiency to qualify to attend the Harvard Debate Council Summer Workshops with Veritas.
No, they do not. Seniors will have graduated high school by the time the summer residential program occurs in July. However, seniors would receive the same education during the school year at Veritas, and they would still qualify for all additional programs including career readiness, corporate immersion, and global travel.

Veritas Debate Institute is a one-year commitment that requires students to attend school every Saturday (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM) from August through June (except holidays). After finishing VDI, students gain access to other Veritas programs, which do not require weekly Saturday attendance.
Veritas Prep requires students to attend school every Saturday (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM) from August through June (except holidays). Students can enroll in Veritas Prep for up to three years.
There is no traditional homework or busy work for both programs. All work is done in session.
