Veritas has opened doors for my child that he may never have accessed within the Atlanta Public Schools system. This isn’t a criticism of APS, but rather an acknowledgment of how Veritas stepped in to fill a crucial gap in my son’s academic journey.
One of the most meaningful parts of this experience is that the financial investment in Veritas was completely optional, and I am profoundly grateful that I chose to make it. That choice has paid dividends far beyond academics. Through Veritas, my son has traveled the world, spoken on some of the biggest stages in Atlanta, and developed a grounded sense of purpose that guides him today.
While Veritas did not directly provide every opportunity or leadership position he now holds, it absolutely laid the foundation that made them possible. The program instilled in him a deep confidence, an understanding that he deserves to be in the room where decisions are made. He deserves to run for office. He deserves to become a top CEO. He deserves to change the world with his ideas and convictions.
Veritas nurtured his intellectual curiosity, strengthened his discipline, and prepared him socially to walk into any room, in any space, and succeed. It took the bold, eager learner he already was and polished him into the scholar he is today: Vice-Chair of the Fulton County Youth Commission, SGA President at his high school, and a student ranked in the top 1% of his junior class.
Veritas didn’t just educate my son—it empowered him.
