Our scholar has experienced meaningful growth during his time so far at Veritas Debate Institute, especially in the area of confidence. We have noticed a clear difference from the beginning to now. The sense of community built with his Veritas peers, leadership, and staff is unlike anything he has experienced before.
The instructors both challenge and support him, consistently holding him to a high standard while encouraging him to rise to his full potential. Through Veritas, our scholar has developed stronger critical thinking skills, gained the confidence to form and express his own perspectives, even when they differ from the norm, and is growing into a leader.
What makes this experience even more meaningful is how it has extended beyond the program. We have seen noticeable growth in his academic performance, as well as an increased willingness to step into leadership roles in high school when new opportunities arise.
Each Saturday, he enters an environment where he feels supported, encouraged, and challenged. He is given the space to make mistakes, learn from them, and take accountability. Even when the curriculum is rigorous, he is learning how to embrace discomfort, persevere, and push himself to grow.
We are truly grateful for the impact Veritas has had on our scholar and the foundation it is helping him build as he prepares for college.
